Susan H. Haught is a shareholder of Daugherty, Fowler, Peregrin,
Haught & Jenson. Acting as special FAA counsel, she assists clients throughout the
world in structuring and closing transactions involving the sale, registration, leasing
and financing of private, corporate and commercial aircraft and the filing of such
transaction documents with the FAA Registry in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Susan was graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1977 and from Oklahoma City
University with a juris doctorate degree in 1984. She is a member of the American Bar
Association, Aircraft Financing Subcommittee, Business Law Section and Forum Committee on
Air and Space Law; the National Business Aviation Association and the Association of
Aircraft Title Lawyers.
Susan has been a featured speaker at the Strategic Research Institute Conferences annually
since 1996. The topics of her presentations included "Current Problems and Issues
Relating to U.S. Civil Aircraft Registry", "FAA Registration, Lien and Security
Interests - A Practice Primer" and "Taking Delivery of a New Commercial
Aircraft". Ms. Haught was also a speaker at the 1997 ABA Forum Committee on Air and
Space Law Annual Meeting with respect to FAA registration issues and in 2000 relating to
new uses of limited liability companies in aircraft financing. Susan assisted in
conducting a workshop relating to FAA registry matters at the Institute of International
Research in 2000. She has an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell and is admitted to practice
in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Oklahoma and the U.S. Court of Appeals,
Tenth Circuit.
Prior to practicing in the private sector, Ms. Haught served as a vice president of a
major financial institution in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for eight years managing the Loan
Review Department and specializing in real estate construction lending. Over the years,
she has been involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Oklahoma City Junior
League, the Persimmon Hill Associate Board of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage
Museum and the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra, having chaired its major fund raiser
for 1998-1999.
